After California Gas Prices Hit Painful Highs – Citizens Are Jumping The Southern Border To Buy Tijuana Gas

So, Why Is Gas Getting So Expensive, these days? If you ask Joe Biden, it’s because Putin invaded Ukraine. Apparently, a war going on thousands of miles away is affecting our gas prices.

Biden hasn’t done a very good job of explaining his excuse. Especially since gas prices have been going up every month since he became “president.”

Do you want to know the real reason? It’s because Biden and the Democrats are pushing radical, far-left policies that are crippling American energy. On top of that, many liberal-run states have numerous taxes and fines that raise the price of gasoline.

The worst state is probably California, whose gas is nearly $6/gallon. So, Californians have been forced to jump the border.

About half the cars that pulled into a Rendichicas gas station in Tijuana, Mexico, had California license plates, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday.

In the U.S.-Mexico border in Tijuana, about 12 miles south of Chula Vista, California, regular gas sells for about $3.96 a gallon – about $2 less than in California, according to the Los Angeles Times.

According to a new report, Californians are driving to Tijuana, Mexico to buy gasoline. Gas prices in California are around $5.96 per gallon. But prices just over the border, in another country, it is around $3.96. That’s close to the price of gas in places like Texas, which has (currently) the lowest gas prices in the country.

What does this tell us about America’s skyrocketing gas prices? It has little to do with Russia and everything to do with liberal policies. Joe Biden clamped down on American energy production by canceling vital projects and pushing harsh regulations. To make matters worse, liberal states have additional taxes and fees that artificially raise the price of gas.

They claim this is necessary, but it is really aimed at discouraging people from buying gasoline. That’s why so many of Biden’s flunkies say we should just buy electric cars, instead. They are forcing the price of gas to get so high, thinking it will force us to buy EVs that cost $70,000 or more.

But they apparently didn’t count on California locals driving to Mexico, just for cheaper gas. Tijuana clearly doesn’t have the same ridiculous fines that CA does. Ironic to see Mexico doing something better than the U.S. But, hey, when Democrats are in charge, nothing makes sense.
