The FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate has been center-stage for weeks now. Authorities reportedly removed dozens of classified documents Trump allegedly refused to return.
Other reports show that agents also searched through former First Lady Melania Trump’s personal items, and even went into Barron Trump’s room.
And the former FLOTUS really didn’t like this—in fact, she disliked it so intensely that she had to go on a shopping spree.
In speaking to Radar Online, a friend close to Melania said that she really doesn’t like strangers going through her clothes. She also revealed that the former First Lady is a pretty big “germaphobe.”
So when she found out that FBI agents had gone through her personal clothing, including lingerie and underwear, she knew she’d never wear them again.
The former First Couple are a little paranoid of germs, as Donald is also a well-known germaphobe. But Melania’s friend says she’s even farther along that scale, so the FBI raid likely horrified her.
As she said in the interview (via Breitbart):
Former first lady Melania Trump reportedly bought a new wardrobe after the FBI ‘contaminated’ her clothes when they searched her room as part of last month’s raid on Mar-a-Lago.
‘Most people don’t know that Melania is a bigger germaphobe than her husband.
She hates people touching her and certainly doesn’t want to put on lingerie that FBI agents have had their hands all over.’
Melania didn’t hesitate in replacing all the items the FBI might’ve touched and “contaminated.”
The friend added that it was her home her bedroom, and “even her husband isn’t allowed in her bedroom.” She also said it didn’t matter if the agents were wearing gloves:
She has already bought new underwear and thrown everything that has been contaminated away.
Agents also raided Donald Trump’s office and broke into his safe, and now they apparently have over 50 classified folders in their possession.
The former President has maintained his innocence from the start, and claims it’s all part of a politically-motivated witch hunt. He says the Biden administration will just do anything to keep him from running again in 2024.
And after Biden’s speech last week that resulted in a windfall of controversy and criticism, it certainly feels to Republicans as if they’re second-class citizens with targets on their backs.
It’s likely that the FBI raid will still be a prominent story when the midterm elections roll around as well.
What sort of impact that event will have on the voting remains to be seen, but some reports say it has motivated right-wing Americans to head to the polls.
