Gunman Caught On Video Carjacking Driver On Expressway Near Downtown Chicago

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has lost control of the city. While America’s worst mayor posts cringe TkTok videos, crime is rampant in that great American city. The latest disgrace was a carjacking on a major highway in the heart of the city.

A commuter captured the video of the crime that went viral on social media. In the video below you can see three people run out of a car after an accident. They walk on the highway looking for an escape when one wearing a black ski mask and toting a large weapon tries to carjack passing vehicles.

The carjacker seems to offer a fistful of cash to the man who’s recording the video in exchange for a ride. The commuter turns him down and moments after the armed thug executes his carjacking and drives off.

But it gets worse for Lightfoot. According to ABC, at least 31 people were shot, eight fatally, in Chicago over the weekend. ABC reported:

A 13-year-old boy was shot and killed at a North Side park playground on Friday night, Chicago officials said.

The shooting happened before 10 p.m. at Lerner Park in the West Ridge neighborhood’s 7000-block of North Sacramento Avenue, police said.

Witnesses said they heard a loud pop, followed by multiple people running away. Police found a male victim on a park bench with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was taken to the St. Francis Hospital in critical condition, but he later died. The medical examiner’s office identified him as Lavel Winslow. Police are searching for the gunman and there’s no word on any arrests.

Hours later, a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in Back of the Yards early Saturday morning, according to Chicago police. A witness found the teen unresponsive after hearing multiple gunshots in the 700-block of West 50th Street just after midnight, police said.

The boy was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

He was later pronounced dead. No one is in custody and Area One detectives are investigating. Police didn’t release further details.

A man is now dead after a shooting at a North Side hotel, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened early Sunday morning at the Old Town neighborhood’s Hotel Lincoln on Clark Street at about 1:21 a.m. Police said the 35-year-old victim got in a fight with another man in the lounge.

The suspect then shot the victim in the chest. He was taken to the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
