Hours After Biden Promises China A Military Response – The White House Scrambles To Clarify Joe’s Comments On Taiwan

Leave it to old Joe to send mixed signals, even when entire countries are on the line. Joe Biden sat back and “greenlit” Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

He’s since spent tens of billions of U.S. dollars to fix that little snafu.

Recently, a reporter asked Joe if America would fight to defend Taiwan against China. To his credit, Joe promised intervention.

From The Hill:

“Are you willing to get involved militarily to defend Taiwan if it comes to that?” Biden was asked at a press conference in Tokyo alongside the Japanese prime minister.

“Yes,” Biden responded. “That’s the commitment we made. That’s the commitment we made.”

Wow! Way to go, Joe, for standing up to China—oh, wait his staff is already correcting him.

From Townhall:

“The White House quickly tried to deny that the president meant what he seemed to be saying,” The Times added…

“‘As the president said, our policy has not changed,’ the White House said in a statement hurriedly sent to reporters. ‘He reiterated our One China Policy and our commitment to peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. He also reiterated our commitment under the Taiwan Relations Act to provide Taiwan with the military means to defend itself.’”

Um… no, that is not what Biden said. Biden said “Yes,” when a reporter asked if he would “get involved militarily,” if China attacked Taiwan.

That is not the same as the current policy, which is weak and vague at best. The United States has refused to stand up for the sovereignty of Taiwan, out of fear of what China would do.

But Biden said we’d use the military to defend Taiwan. That is not the same as the status quo.

Clearly, Biden’s handlers scrambled to correct Biden’s statement. But because they can’t contradict Joe (or admit he’s losing his mind), they tried to gaslight the rest of us.

But we all knew what he said. He said we’d fight China to protect Taiwan. That might be scary, but that is the right thing to say.

We need to push back against bullies like China and Russia. Up until now, this cowardly administration has refused to do so.

But if that’s what Biden really wants, then we know who is really making this administration weak: all the goons who tell him what to do.
