Americans are watching in horror as Russia marches over a sovereign nation. Putin invaded Ukraine in an unprovoked attack. Many fear that this is only the beginning—and that Putin will stage a larger war for much of Europe.
People are searching for solutions to this problem. Sadly, the United States does not seem to be taking its historical lead in ending this conflict.
Joe Biden’s response to Russia has been weak, at best. He doesn’t seem to have a clear understanding of the crisis. And his decisions have only seemed to hurt Americans, not Putin. Despite this, he claims he is fully in charge. Americans don’t agree. His daily approval is one of the worst yet.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll… for Thursday shows that 39% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Biden’s job performance. Sixty percent (60%) disapprove.
That’s the worst disapproval for Biden this particular poll has shown yet. And we don’t have to look far to know why. Americans are giving Biden a failing grade on Ukraine.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 57% of Likely U.S. Voters believe Biden could have done more to prevent the Russian invasion of Ukraine, while 34% think Biden did everything possible to prevent the invasion.
A majority of voters, 57%, believe Joe Biden could have done more to stop Putin from invading Ukraine. Only 34% think he did all he could. Biden has a hard time claiming he did his best. Back in January, when he gave his only press conference of the year, he said America would not stop a “minor incursion” by Russia into Ukraine. Many experts feared this gave Putin a green light to attack.
Biden’s administration desperately tried to backtrack. They beat the war drum about Putin’s invasion throughout February, but they did not seem to do anything to stop Putin or prepare Ukraine. Why didn’t we send as many resources as possible, prior to the attack—even as Biden kept saying it was going to happen? It’s not enough to talk about it. You have to act.
Yet Biden seemed to play the patsy as Putin launched his attack. The nation of Ukraine is being rocked by Russia and the world sits by and just complains. Had Biden taken the lead to strongly oppose Putin from the start, the rest of our allies would follow. Yet now, nobody in Europe is even joining the U.S.’s ban on Russian oil—ensuring Putin continues to build his war chest.
