Kamala Loses Another Staffer And Reuters Leaves Out The Most Important Details…

It’s being reported this morning that Kamala’s chief National Security Adviser is stepping down amidst the mass exodus of staffers from the VP’s office:

REUTERS – U .S. Vice President Kamala Harris’s National Security Adviser Nancy McEldowney is stepping down from her role and will be succeeded by her deputy Philip Gordon, according to an internal staff memo seen by Reuters.

Both McEldowney and Gordon have worked for Harris since she took office and have advised the vice president and President Joe Biden on topics such as Afghanistan, Iran, Ukraine, and cybersecurity.

They accompanied Harris on several foreign trips to Central America, Asia and Europe, and have played a key role in shaping her strategy outside the United States.

In the memo to staff, McEldowney said she is stepping down to “focus on some pressing personal matters” but will remain an ardent advocate for Harris and the Biden administration.

“This was a difficult decision because I am so deeply committed to the work we do and the crucial national interest we serve. But after more than a year, this is the right decision for my family,” she said. She also noted she’s “not rushing out the door” but said the date of her last day was not immediately clear.

A senior administration official said no date has been set yet but it is likely to be at the end of the month.

I’m not disputing the “pressing personal matter”, but I strongly suspect that in reality it’s a really good excuse for McEldowney to get the heck out of Kamala’s office. After all, it is the trend from what’s been reported to be a hostile workplace.

So let’s do a quick recap.

Last July, 22 current and former vice presidential aides, administration officials and associates of Harris described her office as abusive. At the time Politico reported that some staffers were eyeing other employment opportunities and that others have left already.

Kamala’s Chief Spokeswoman and her Communications Director quit on her. Then her Press Operations Director and Deputy Director Of Public Engagement quit. That was just a few months ago around December.

Just last week we reported that Kamala’s Deputy Press Secretary was quitting. And now we report today that her Chief National Security Adviser is quitting.

That’s a lot of top officials quitting on Kamala. But despite all of this happening within the last six months, Reuters couldn’t be bothered to mention any of it in their article. Nada. If this were the last administration, it would have been the 2nd or 3rd paragraph. But in an election year which is sure to be tough on Democrats, Reuters leaves out the most important details.
