Democrats are leaning hard on getting Biden’s Supreme Court nominee on the bench. And the media is helping them. After treating Donald Trump’s nominees totally disgracefully, Democrats demand Republicans just roll over and give Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson a free pass.
But Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee are in no way complying.
More than a few bones have tumbled out of Jackson’s closet. It appears Biden’s pick has a history of supporting radical, far-left policies. She advocated for Gitmo prisoners. And she might even embrace the destructive critical race theory. She did herself no favors during the hearings when she refused to define the word “woman.”
And now, Sen. Cruz is announcing how he’ll vote. From Breitbart:
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said he will not vote for the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson and that Jackson is probably the first SCOTUS nominee in history who can’t define what a woman is.
Cruz said, “Well, listen, she is probably the first Supreme Court nominee in the history of our country who is unable to answer the question, what is a woman? And her record, unfortunately, I think, is far outside the mainstream.”
Host Jesse Watters later asked, “Are you going to vote for her?” Cruz answered, “No.”
Ted Cruz, member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, announced he will not be voting to confirm Joe Biden’s pick, Ketanji Brown Jackson. He made a point to express his disappointment that the judge could not answer the question, “What is a woman.” He said she might be the first Supreme Court nominee who could not do that. But that’s not the only reason he is voting no.
Cruz pointed out that Jackson’s record leans very much to the left. He warned that it was “far outside the mainstream.” From what has come out in the public, it seems Jackson is exactly the kind of candidate the extreme left wanted. We know that progressive groups were petitioning and campaigning for Jackson’s nomination. And, knowing how Biden seems to cave to the left these days, it’s no mystery why Jackson was picked.
Republican senators are wary about this woman’s voting record. If she is put on the Supreme Court, we’ll have a radical activist weighing on the most important cases in our country. We don’t have to guess how she’ll vote on cases related to the Second Amendment, gender issues, voting rights, and abortion. For Biden to have even nominated her is shocking.
