The Midterms Polls Just Flipped In Southern State

The race for the Senate in Georgia is as tight as it can get.

A few months ago, it looked as if Sen. Raphael Warnock would secure a relatively easy victory, as most polls showed he held a healthy lead over Republican challenger Herschel Walker.

However, The Polls Have Flipped Red — And Now It’s Warnock Who Has To Play Catch-Up.

The poll, conducted by Fox 5 Atlanta and Insider Advantage, found that the Democrat Senator was up by 3 points in July. Other polls indicated that Warnock led by as many as 10 or even 15 points.

But things have shifted in the race and now that same poll is showing basically the opposite results.

Though five percent of participants said they remained undecided (which could swing the lead one way or the other), the survey still shows an about-face in favor of the hard-charging GOP candidate.

From Breitbart:

Republican Herschel Walker continues to hold a slim lead over Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) in the race for U.S. Senate in Georgia, according to a poll published Thursday.

The poll, conducted by Fox 5 Atlanta and Insider Advantage, found Walker three points ahead of Warnock.

Walker received 47 percent compared to Warnock’s 44 percent, while libertarian candidate Chase Oliver received four percent.

Breitbart noted that this is “nearly the inverse” of the results found in July, where Warnock had his 3-point lead.

This shows that the former NFL star has gained a lot of support and momentum in the past few months, and his “Unite Georgia” bus tour might further help matters.

As for Warnock, he’s advocated erasing student loans, and recently celebrated President Joe Biden’s move to eliminate up to $20,000 in debt for Americans. This didn’t go over well with all Democrats, however.

Walker ripped Warnock for supporting the student loan erasure, citing forty-year-high inflation and reports that said hard-working taxpayers would have to shoulder the student loan relief.

In the other major race in Georgia, Gov. Brian Kemp has widened his lead over leftist challenger Stacey Abrams.

Kemp just squeaked out a victory in 2018 but it looks as if the race this time won’t be as close. According to the latest poll, the rematch shows Kemp Holding A Comfortable 8-Point Lead (50% To 42%).

The poll indicated that Kemp “leads in every age group,” and the very public move by law enforcement to abandon Abrams could’ve helped the Governor as well.

As it stands now, Georgia could wind up going very red — but that Warnock/Walker race will probably come down to the wire when voters go to the polls in November.
