After DeSantis Accused Of “Falsely Luring” Migrants, He Sets Record Straight And Doubles Down: “Just The Beginning”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is under heavy fire from Democrats and the White House for busing 50 illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is demanding an investigation, while liberal leaders and the mainstream media slam the move as a “political stunt.” They made similar criticisms of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

But The Republican Governor In Florida Isn’t Backing Down — In Fact, He’s Clearing The Air And Sending A Strong Message.

DeSantis got wind of the accusation over the weekend: that the migrants recently sent to Martha’s Vineyard were “falsely lured” or “enticed” into going, which has prompted widespread speculation.

However, the Florida Governor responded to the allegation during a press conference, and called it “totally false.”

I think if you look, the folks that are contracted, not only do they give them a release form to sign, they actually give them a packet and in that packet included a map of Martha’s Vineyard. So it was obvious that that’s where they were going and they gave that to them.

DeSantis added that “it’s all voluntary” because he believes that’s the correct way to do it. He also said “they’re treated well with meals and everything,” so accusations to the contrary are off-base.

He further reacted to a CNN anchor comparing the move to the Holocaust:

DeSantis said that if we want to talk about inhumane practices, we need to talk about “what Biden is doing.”

He said the border is open, the current administration is “luring people to come here for political purposes,” and it’s all due to erasing and reversing the Trump-era policies that had a positive impact on border crossings.

Lastly, none of the criticism is going to stop DeSantis – or other southern state leaders – from continuing to send their message:

During a press conference last week, DeSantis vowed to Floridians that he will send more flights of illegal aliens to the homes of the Democrat party’s wealthiest communities.

‘These are just the beginning efforts. We got an infrastructure in place now. There is going to be a lot more that’s happening.’

DeSantis, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, and other Republican leaders fully intend to prove to the entire country that there is a border crisis, and a critical one.

And if it means sending endless shipments of illegal migrants to the richest areas, that’s what’s going to happen. It’s important to note that 84% of Martha’s Vineyard voted for Joe Biden in the last election.

They seem to support him wholeheartedly, so DeSantis’ stance is simple: they should support an open border, and embrace every illegal with open arms.
