While most Republicans supported former President Donald Trump during his term in the White House, a few constantly butted heads with POTUS.
This includes GOP Wisconsin Rep. Liz Cheney, who was one of a handful of Republicans to cast a vote for impeachment. Ever since, Cheney has been in Trump’s dog house, as he’s stated numerous times.
Now, He’s Headed To Wisconsin To Hold A Rally — And That Rally Might Help Oust Cheney From Her Seat.
The controversial representative, who many in the Party have called a “RINO” in the past, faces a stiff challenge from Trump supporter Harriet Hageman. The right-wing firebrand aims to take Cheney’s position this year.
And she has the backing of the former President, which has proven to be immensely helpful for other Republican candidates.
Though Trump’s picks lost a couple in recent weeks, Trump-backed candidates win their elections more often than not. The power and influence of the former Commander-in-Chief remains a valuable commodity.
Hageman will need it all if she hopes to unseat Cheney, though.
