Jeremy Renner Breaks Silence In Heartbreaking Interview: “It was coming right at my nephew, I would do it again”

Hollywood star Jeremy Renner broke his silence about his tragic snowplow accident that almost cost him his life in a new interview.

In a clip for “Jeremy Renner: The Diane Sawyer Interview — A Story of Terror, Survival and Triumph,” that will air April 6 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC, the “Avengers” star discussed the accident where he was run over by his 7-ton snowcat snowplow machine while trying to protect his nephew.

Renner teared up during the interview when talking about how he used sign language to tell his family he was sorry for the accident, but found a silver lining at one point joking:

“I’ve lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience but I’ve been refueled and refilled with love and titanium.”

Renner broke 30 bones and suffered blunt chest trauma and shockingly said he would do it all again.

“Do you remember the pain?” Sawyer asked him.

Renner said, “Oh, all of it, yeah, I was awake through every moment.”

“I would do it again,” the Marvel star said.

“It was coming right at my nephew. I would do it again.”

Renner’s nephew told Sawyer that he thought he was dead.

“I just perfectly see him in a pool of blood coming from his head.

“I ran up to him, I didn’t think he was alive.”

Renner told Sawyer he considers himself a ‘lucky man’ and that he ‘chose to survive.’

“You’re not going to kill me. I chose to survive,” he said.
